You know, there are people who are making a six-figure income with Adsense alone. They spend a lot of time tweaking their AdSense ads so that they can make more and more income from the same ads and same amount of visitors. You should use the same strategy, if you want to achieve the same kind of success. Here are some split testing tips you can use to increase your AdSense revenue:

1. Website Layout Optimization

When you monetize your website with AdSense, it is always important to take a look at your website layout. Each different layout will give you different results. Some layouts are bad, while some are good. Yes, you can place your ads anywhere within your website, but will they attract good CTR? That’s why it is always good to optimize your layout and make your ads more prevailing to your audience, without disturbing their user experience.

2. Using AdSense-Ready Theme

There are many professional themes that you can purchase. Some of them are designed specifically for AdSense. It is better for you to use AdSense-ready theme if you plan to make Google AdSense as your primary source of income in your website. In this way, you will be able to place your ads in the profitable spots within your website, which will significantly help you to increase your conversion rate. However, it should also be noted that no two websites are similar and even when you use the best themes, it is recommended that you A/B test different ad locations and let the stats tell you which work best. Locations have contributed the most, when it comes to improving the CTR.

3. Text-Only Ads

Some websites have big success in improving their AdSense earning by using text-only ads instead of text and banner ads. However, this result will be different on different websites. While text-only ads are good for some websites, it doesn’t mean that they’re good for all websites. It is always better for you to use the split testing process; necessary to determine which ad type is good for you.

4. Experiment With Different Colors And Sizes

The color and size of your ad units play an important role when it comes to improving AdSense CTR. If you place the wrong ad unit in the wrong place, then its bound to deliver lower CTR and lower eCPM. If you place the right sized ad unit in the right place, then obviously, you get better returns. Now, the point is, how do you find the right sized ad and the right ad color? That’s why you have to experiment with different colors and sizes of your ad unit within your website, using split testing. This can be done in an automated manner using a tool such as Adpushup. Ad Pushup claims that they can do all of that in an automated manner. The product is still in beta though.

5. Give It Time To See Results

Split Testing can be done almost immediately. However, it does take some time to generate significant results. So, give it some time and the results would become more accurate. For example, 2000-3000 visitors per unique variation is a good way to determine if the results are accurate. So, you have to understand that split testing will require some patience as well, but think about the long-term benefit that you’ll get when you find the right formula to increase your income!

Those are some tips you can use to split test your AdSense ads to increase your income. Split testing can always bring you to the right ad combination that you need to put within your website, but it will take much time and effort to do. It is always better to use a good split testing software to help you go through the entire split testing process with more ease and less effort.

Six figure income with Ad Sense alone?!?!?!?!

Wow. That’s impressive. I have a question. I read in another blog that some people will use AdSense at first, then simply contact the company and take Google out as the middle man. Have you done this? What’s your opinion?
