    Yeah Bashir you are right SEO rules has changed and we must be more carefull when building backlinks , we should consider getting backlinks from sites with high pagerank
    one more thing I would like to add many bloggers fail to to improve their blog Pagerank the reason is that they build Nofollow backlinks Nofollow backlinks will pull in only traffic with out any SEO Juice , if you want to improve your Pagerank you should rely on Dofollow backlinks so you can boost your Pagerank and traffic in the same time 😀

    If I join a football forum with better pagerank than me, this is valuable for me, I guess?

      try to get links from relevant sites that’s the best you can do
      it will help more in furnishing your site and getting a good rank , Irrelavent links might help your site , But sites with relevant backlinks are ranked and trusted better than sites with Irrelavant backlinks sometimes irrelevant links might be considered as spam By Google so better focus on relevant backlinks,
      Just consider building backlinks from sites and forums with high pagerank and traffic and make sure that they are similar to your blog topic.
      IF you have a football website try to get backlinks from football forums with pagerank higher than yours

    In addition to the things you’ve listed I’ve heard of a lot of bloggers getting good results through guest posting. I haven’t done any guest posting myself, but from what others have said it’s one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site and get quality back links.
